The business was started in 2016 and Westcountry HR has since gone from strength to strength.
HR Director Nicki has previously worked in HR in Exeter, Newton Abbot and Plymouth, Devon and comes with over 15 year’s experience in the HR sector and decided to take the leap from employment to self-employment to follow her dreams and hasn’t looked back. After working in the sector for some years, Nicki wanted to put all the experience she had gained working for FTSE 100 companies into helping small businesses with a service that SMEs can afford.
When asked to summarise the work Westcountry HR undertake, Nicki commented “For the small business, there are a number of advantages to using a HR Consultant. Instead of hiring an internal HR Manager, you can save money by outsourcing it to a HR Consultant like Westcountry HR.
Small businesses will often need HR support, but may not have a HR team. A HR Consultant can offer objective, unbiased employment advice and are best placed to advise on the people management that business owners and managers struggle to deal with.”
Jenny if a HR professional with 14years’ HR experience and comes with a Level 5 CIPD in HR Management and a Level 7 CIPD Post Graduate Certificate in Employment Law. Jenny has worked in a variety of industries including hospitality, public sector and facilities management at Mitie.
Jenny has a wide range of experience in all aspects of HR with a focus on employment law. These skills will enable Jenny to support your business with me from creating bespoke employment contracts through to assisting with advice on employee relations issues, sickness abscence and redundancy.
Some of you already know Christine who has been here since July 2019. Christine is now taking over the Training and Development side of the business. Christine is a Fellow of the CIPD and comes with a wealth strategic HR experience having worked at HR Director level and has worked in housing, hospitality, retail and pharmaceutical.
Christine is passionate about Employee Engagement Change management and Training. Christine is also ILM Accredited Coach and Mentor.
Sue is a qualified HR professional at Level 5 CIPD in HR Management. Sue and I used to work together in 2014/15 where Sue was my HR Assistant at a firm of solicitors in Exeter.
Sue has fantastic HR and admin experience and has worked in a variety of Administration and HR roles in Banking, Construction, Law, Housing, Local Government, Education and for Flybe in Exeter where she was in a Senior HR role.
